Prayer Life

In our Christian Life we must have a good Prayer Life. Praying is how we speak to God. It’s the foundation of our relationship with him. We must speak to him for many reasons. Mostly to thank him and to let him know we love him. To let him know we trust in him. That he is the master of our lives.

Pray For Your Thankfulness

There are so many things to be thankful for and he is the reason that you have things to be thankful for. So start Your Prayers by thanking him. Thank him for life, for the air you breathe, and being able to breath. Thank him for the chance to overcome a new day. Being able to see Your love one’s one more time. Thank him for being there no matter what. For giving his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins so that we may have everlasting life. We think of everything in the world that is wrong or things we don’t have. We should be thankful of the things that are good and the things we do have.

I was recently laid off from my job. Like everyone else I have bills to pay and children to feed. Now I could go on a rant of everything I need and that not having a job can be devastating, but I am thankful that my children are healthy and I trust that the Lord will provide as he always has my entire life.

So, if I sit here complaining about what’s wrong with my life I can’t get what God wants me to have in life. My focus on the bad hinders the good that will happen. God wants the best for his children and he wants us to talk to him. He wants us to be thankful for what he has done for us. So start Your Prayers with thanking him. Don’t let Your focus be on the bad things of life.

Ask God For Guidance

In Your Prayers ask God for guidance in Your life. Ask him to show you the way he wants you to go in life. To help you through Your life so that it is pleasing to him. We are here to please the lord so we need to ask him what it is that pleases him. The Lord speaks to us through His word the Bible, and through the Holy Spirit. When we Pray we will begin to hear him and we can have conversations with him.

There’s no certain way to talk to Him. Just talk to him like you would Your dad or mom, sister, brother, friend. We all need guidance in life and should always ask the Lord for help. He will always be there for you.

I ask God to give me patience because I have a Wife and children and we all have our own opinions and ideas. I ask the Lord for guidance in raising my children and grandchildren and in dealing with everyday life. I ask him to sharpen my mind and to help me with sin. I also ask Him for forgiveness because I am a sinner as we all are, and we should ask him for forgiveness every day.

Pray For Others

As Christians, we should be praying for each other. We should be Praying for each other’s health, and well-being. We should be Praying for our Pastor, that he is in good spirit and that the Lord is speaking through him to us. Maybe a car cut you off today and you got angry. Instead of being angry lets pray for them. We don’t know what is going on in there life. What about a sick friend or our country.

Pray for the homeless and the less fortunate. Ask the Lord how he may want you to help them. Church family’s always need prayer. Someone is definitely praying for you whether you know it or not. We as Christians should be praying for anyone we can think of. We all need help and the more we pray the more God works in our lives.

Believe And Give Thanks

Our Prayer Life should have Faith. We need to believe that God hear’s our prayers and that they will come to pass. Our faith in god is why our prayers come true. We believe that the Lord answers our prayers because he loves us and praying is a sign of faith from us. Speaking with the Lord lets him know we trust and believe in him.

If we spoke to god and didn’t believe in him we must be crazy and we are just talking to our self’s. If we pray and we thank him and we pray for ourselves and other’s and we thank him, then we must believe he is real and that he hears us when we pray. So, if we believe he hears us then we must believe he will answer our prayers.

Conclusion

If we are to have a relationship with anyone we must talk to them. So we need to talk to God as our father our friend our protector. We need to be close in order to live the way he wants us to live. He wants us to be happy and live blessed lives. So what better way to have that then to get close to him but talk to him. If Your there for him he will be there for you.

  1. I am so in tune with what you are saying, and I love that you say we should start our prayers with thanksgiving.  No matter what our situation, we have so much to be thankful for if we focus on it.  I also start my prayers reflecting with God on my shortcomings.  The things I’m not proud of in my day or my way.  For example, I help a dear friend a lot, and I try so hard to do it with love and understanding, but there are days when I just can’t stand her, and I know it displeases my God.  I pray for more patience and more grace when it comes to her.  God helps us through everything.

    1. He’s Always there when we need him. I am so thankful for all he dose. I feel the same way with some people. It’s hard sometimes, but like you said we pray for patience and the Lord hears us when we pray. God bless you!

  2. Thank you for sharing this. There are always some things that will throw you in life and sometimes it might be that rough that you start questioning everything, but in the end it’s good to know where to turn to, where you can always turn to.

My personal favourite is the serenity prayer, I’ve got in on my fridge to remind me daily.

And one of the things my mother always used to say whenever we went somewhere was “God willing”.

  3. Hello!

I am a Christian and how I treat you in all my days to thank Jesus for everything I have. Sometimes I disconnect a little with him but I can assure you that he has always helped me.

I feel like my great friend who guides all my steps from heaven. I really love him very much and try to improve by helping others in everything I can. Beautiful article is the one you have written.

    Thank you! Claudio

  4. Thanks for a post like this, the bible told us to pray without season – and also told us to give thanks in all things. I love the point “pray for your thankfulness”; I believe it is not easy to give thanks in every circumstance. But when we decide to thank God in the midst of difficulty, it bows the forces of darkness in the spiritual realm. When we thank God for every gift, He has given us even when things are very hard, the enemy loses the battle against us. He is stopped in his tracks when we come to Him with a thankful heart.

    Bless you!

  5. Absolutely, in the Bible study yesterday, I taught that there are three things a Christian must not stop with God. We must not stop our dependency on God, we must not stop our duty towards God, and we must not stop our communication or communion with God. I love the part when you said, we must not focus on the bad things of life.

We worship and thank God not only for his blessings, but also for who he is. Thanks for the enlightening post.

  6. I would like to thank everyone for their encouraging words. I’m so glad that my content is effecting people in a positive way. This is my main propose of this site. To encourage to help people to find happiness. To help them get closer to god.

  7. Hi Tommy, what an inspirational reminder that God takes care of us all – sometimes in ways that need to be considered – but always, He leads us down the path we are here to follow – thank you !
